[Cz-L] What and where is Tereblste - can you help?

Hello,

Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

A good friend of mine is looking for a Schaefer relative from
Sereth, Roumania (today, Siret, Romania), but the Canadian naturalization
file names Tereblste, Roumania (Bokavia). Bokavia is Bukovina, of course,
but I can't figure out where Tereblste refers to.

There is another Schaefer whose naturalization file indicates that he was
born Tareblentsc?, Rumania and later it says Tereblestie, Rumania and his
Canadian report named Terblestie, Buckovina.

I can't get anything out of the JewishGen town lookup, nor Google apps, etc.
I do see references to this place in some online family trees.

Siret is just south of the Ukraine border, and in Ukraine, I see Terebleche,
which is promising, but JewishGen does not recognize it. Geni.com recognizes
it as Terebleche, Chernivets'ka oblast, Ukraine, and I found that on a
travel site with alternate names including Terebleshti, which is very close.
