In most languages the genitive case shows by this possible double
interpretation that you need background knowledge for the meaning of
some words. Love of God like mothers' list can be understood in an
objectal or subjectal way.

>From Leibniz to young Wittgenstein the perfection in meaning of the
language alone has been striven at .....to no avail. Love of God is
both from God to woman or from man to God. There is no right
interpretation - both are acceptable.

Of course the genitive case can be circumscribed in order to make
things clear but best look at background e.g. reading the book -
hopefully the conflict will disappear.
