Dear Edgar,
Thank you for the reply.
Yes, please, this would be very helpful: please use this email udikap_at_hotmail.com<mailto:udikap_at_hotmail.com>
The article has some very interesting points and it helps me to understand the passport that I am researching about. Her last registration is by a public notary on the last page from June of 1942, but the meaning of the stamp is not that clear to me. Front cover has a hand written date, I believe, for mid 1943, so this would mean she was not transported, hopefully.
Thanking you again,
Best Rgrds,
Neil.

Dear Neil,
Dr. Hartwig Cremers' mail address is as follows: h.cremers_at_gmx.de<mailto:h.cremers_at_gmx.de>
Concerning the Czernowitz-L Discussion Group it would be great to register you with another mail address than Yahoo; Yahoo is not 100% compatible with our servers and only a restricted number of our members will receive your messages. If you could provide another mail address, we'll be happy to register you. If you want me to post your request to the List, I'll do it either.
Cheers & Success!

Dear Edgar,
Thank you again for the reply and useful information.
Have some difficulty in logging in, registering, but hopefully it will work.
Would you have by nay chance the email for Dr. Cremers? he might have some more archival information that may assist my research, hope this is no trouble asking you.
Thanking you again,
Rgrds,
Neil

Dear Neil,
Dr. Hartwig Cremers, a researcher from Germany published an essay on "Consul general Dr. Dr. Fritz Gebhard Schellhorn", the former German consul general from Czernowitz. I published this essay under the headline "Rescue Operation of the Czernowitz Jews - A Joint Venture?" just here:
http://czernowitz.blogspot.de/2011/12/dr-dr-fritz-gebhard-schellhorn.html
Please keep in mind that this essay is very partial and Dr. Hartwig Cremers' impetus was for sure to whitewash the role of his distant relative Consul general Dr. Dr. Fritz Gebhard Schellhorn during WW2. Nevertheless, as far as I remember, the essay shares the situation of German Jews in Czernowitz in the 1940ies. Check it and please let me know on the procedure concerning our Czernowitz-L Discussion Group.
Warmest wishes!

Dear Neil,
Thank you for your message and your confidence. That's a very interesting document, I never have seen such one from Czernowitz before. The "Directory for the Municipality of Czernowitz for the Year 1936"
http://czernowitz.blogspot.de/2010/02/address-book-for-czernowitz-for-year.html
shows several entries for the surname "Baltuch". So does GeneaSearch
http://czernowitz.geneasearch.net/index.php
but unfortunately I don't have additional information on Nelly. My suggestion to you would be to share your question with the Czernowitz-L Discussion Group
http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/
http://ehpes.com/blog1/
more than 500 Czernowitz related members worldwide, mostly Jewish, among them several Holocaust survivors. Do you want me to raise your questions?
Looking forward to reading from you. Warmest wishes!
Edgar Hauster

Hello,
Good afternoon.
Please accept my apologies should this email be out of place.
Was hoping you might be able, after seeing your site on Cernauti,
http://czernowitz.blogspot.co.il/, <
http://czernowitz.blogspot.co.il/,%20> to assist in locating information on an individual I am researching about who lived in Romania up to 1942. Her name was Nelly Baltuch, German Jewish citizen living before and during the war in Cernauti.
Please see attached sample document I am researching.
Thanking you in advance,
Best Rgrds,
Neil Kaplan.
