Dear Avi,
"How many projects like this are running simultaneously?" Honestly, there is no answer to this question. The only reliable source would be data from funding organisations. There are funding sources on local, regional, national, bilateral and European level for youth projects like the one mentioned by Edgar. Additionally, there is funding by private foundations. This is true for both, the formal and non-formal sector of education. Even if one would be able to collect all the data, it would say not much about the content of an project. Typical catagories in the databases of funding organisations are "culture", "intercultural exchange", "history" or "sports". There is no catagory like "Jewish topic".
My organisation - the International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany - tries since some years to bring light into the data jungle. From the things said above you may understand why we did not publish something so far.
The only thing I can tell you is: If you come across a project like Edgar's project, go and support it. You can do it by a donation, by a testimony or just by saying thank you. Thoose involved will appreciate it.
Best wishes,
Christian

Dear Edgar,
Can you please elaborate a little bit more about the project (the story
beyond the photos..). Info like:
How many students participated in the entire project from each side, their
age.
How long the project took? did they experience videoconferencing? how
often?
Who funded the project.
How many projects like this are running simultaneously?
thanks
Avi
