Hi Lesli,
First of all congratulation on your success story. Second, warmest wishes from the south coast of the Black Sea and, yes, dear Bruce, I'm westbound and take the land route to Bukovina. Lesli, since perhaps you are following my trip, just in brief two interjections which might be useful to you:
1. "Der Tag", the Czernowitz daily newspaper, 30-Oct-1932 edition, p. 7, reported on the opening of the 1932 Fall Art Exhibition. The young reporter, Alfred Kittner, later a very prominent Bukovinian writer, reported on the first appearance of "Leo Koppelmann", characterizing him - besides Paul Konrad Hoenich - as one of the most promising talents.

2. Have you noticed the article "Grotesque of Leon Kopelman" published by the Ukrainian (?) Art Library on 22-Jan-2015:

Hi Lesli,
What an amazing connection - and through our friend, Zoya, too! I'm sure you're looking forward to a very special visit, and I hope you'll let us know how it went when you return. Perhaps even more surprises will be in store for you.
Best wishes,
Bruce
