Thanks dear Jerome,
Dear Edgar and All,
The name "Rovno" always brings to my mind the birthplace of Amos Oz's mother
portrayed in his masterpiece novel .
His daughter, Fania Oz-Salzberger, discovered the house of her grandmother's
youth on a trip in November 2014.
Here you can watch the event on YouTube:
(From min 3:40 - listen to Fania Oz speaking in English).
Fania Oz returns to family building in the city Rivne, Ukraine.

Best regards,
Irene

Czernowitzers...
Rivne, fourth stage of my motorcycle ride to Bukovina and far, far beyond!
Our friend and fellow member Christian Herrmann raised the question "What
can I say about Rivne?" and came to following conclusion: "Maybe that the
city is a striking example of what was done to the country and its
inhabitants in the 20th century. German occupation, war, genocide,
Sovietization." Well, inspired by Christian, let me add "A Few More Words
About Rivne" from my particular point of view:
