Dear all,
I recently guided a German TV crew through Galicia, Podolia and Bukovina in western Ukraine. They produce a documentary about the shtetl. Chernivtsi/Czernowitz was of course never a shtetl, but it has to the present day a living Jewish community and that is what attracted the film makers.
Today, I posted some photo impressions of our stay in Chernivtsi/Czernowitz and also some additional information:

Those of you who are interested in the entire trip will find the posts in chronological order at the main page of my Vanished World Blog.

I hope the documentary, that will be broadcasted by German public television in early 2022, will raise some attention on the remaining Jewish heritage in western Ukraine.
Warm wishes,
Christian
