Hello all-
I have been doing research about family members from Czernowitz.
I learned from a distant cousin that MOSCHE/MOSES BARBASCH, who was my great-uncle, was involved with starting one of the synagogues in Czernowitz some time in the early 1920’s. He is buried in the Czernowitz cemetery, on April 13, 1939.
I am hoping that there might be some records available in the Jewish community and one of the synagogues/organizations, that might have this information.
I would like to know if this information is correct or not, exists and/or where I can find out more.
Many thanks,
Milton Koch
