Furthermore they (Jews) were identified on each document as Jews, or having Jewish blood. Every person had to register at the police and no one could change their address without first declaring their intention to do so at the population bureau (document 4 below).

The special authorization which allowed Jews to remain in Cernauti and continue working (document 5 below), had to be renewed every 2 months.
