I was hoping you would post to the group and confirm your interest in
the TRICHTER surname. Today, I read the following post in Ukraine

Hello, after subscribing to this list for about a month, I have decided to
submit my first correspondence. My g-grandfather Elias TRICHTER arrived in
the US with his brother Jonas TRICHTER in the early 1890's. They arrived
with two step brothers and their mother Jeannette TRICTHER (maiden name
NEUWIRTH (sp) who had previously been married to a man named COHN/COHEN.

There are several branches of TRICTER arriving in the US but I am unable to
find my branch. So far, all the TRICHTER's I have come in contact with are
all from Czernowitz, including my branch. I believe in order to put the
family together, I must gather information from Czernowitz dating back to
the mid to late 1800's. Is this possible and can any one offer some
suggestions.
