New to List

I started working on my family's genealogy about 15 years ago (when I was a teenager). I stopped in 1992 because I felt like I hd found all I was going to find.. But now I am realizing that the internet has vastly improved the resources that are available from one's own home! I'm very excited about getting started again.

My maternal grandmother's family was from Czernowitz, Bukowina. I'll summarize the families I'm researching below and I invite anyone who might be reseraching the same names to please email me at <A href="mailto:wrkottmeier_at_yahoo.com">wrkottmeier_at_yahoo.com</A>.

REITER, Bernhard. Immigrated to New York in 1913, with wife (Yetta/Jetti (maiden name Wechsler) and children Tucie (Frema) and Mose (Max). Painting contractor, apprentice to Mr. Wechsler.

REITER, Chaya(Chaje) Ruchel. Mother of Bernhard, immigrated 1909.

WECHSLER, any.

I do know that Bernhard Reiter is buried in Mt. Hebron cemetery in New York (New Jersey?) in the "Czernowitz, Bukovina" section.
