<x-charset iso-8859-1>Dear Jose,
Are you connected, in any way, to Rabbi Reines, of Lida, Lithuania?
I have photocopies of a letter, written by him, in 1892 and about 1896,
the first, to facilitate the emigration of my great-great-grandfather to
the US. The second is a letter which he wrote to my ggg, after he had
been living in Philadelphia for several years. In this second letter, he
is asking my ancestor if he could help him sell one of his (Rabbi Reines')
books in the USA.
I have sent colour laser copies to YIVO, in New York, as they had expressed
a great interest in keeping these letters on file. I don't have the
original letters,
just more copies.
Merle
