In late November 2001, the Family History Library began to microfilm
vital records of all religious denominations at the State Archives in
Chernivtsi. At that time, it was estimated that the project would
take 12 to 24 months. The new estimate from Salt Lake City is that
it will take 4 to 5 years to film all the materials of interest.
