Greetings Czernowitzers!

I am pleased to announce that an english translation of Florence
Heymann's 1994 lecture on Jewish life in Czernowitz is now
available on the website. The lecture material is a combination
of oral history and commentary, and gives a most interesting
longitudinal picture of what life was like in Czernowitz over
time.

You can find it in the documents section (#7), or click on:
http://czernowitz.dnsalias.org/noinet/documents/heymann/composit3.htm
Thanks go to Mariette Gutherz and the translators for pursuing
this project!

May I ask you all to search again through your own materials
relating to Czernowitz and surrounds to see if what you have
might be of interest to others? New material is the lifeblood of
a website like ours, so lets keep at it.

Best regards for the new year,
Jerome
