the brilliant letter discussion

Hi Group,

I haven't had reason to write for some time but enjoy reading various
topics from others. The current topic/discussion brings up an important
issue in group discussion, in my opinion.

It is so important to realize that we all come from different
backgrounds and have various "perspectives". And that unless we respect
these "differences" we are not only abusing the privilege of
participating in such a Forum, but obusing the very element we as Jews
want others to respect in us.

As for David's "brilliant letter", it is one point of view which in
general was well expressed but there were derogatory comments which, in
my opinion, negate the good. And to be fair, we would have to read Ms
Kates' article to understand David's response.

Let's be fair in our judgement toward others so the focus is sharing
information.
