The 24th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy will take place
4-9 July 2004 in Jerusalem. At last year's conference in Washington,
D.C., we had an excellent lunchtime gathering of 20+ group members -
a great chance to meet each other personally and to discuss our
mutual interests.

I won't be able to attend the meeting this year, so I'm hoping
someone might step forward to help organize a get-together for those
of us interested in Bukovina history and Jewish genealogy.
Volunteers?

This would be a great opportunity to meet each other and, if it could
be arranged, to meet with Jacob Weiner and Isahar Locker,
Vice-Presidents of the Bukovina Jews World Union
<http://www.bukovinajewsworldunion.org/>. A meeting with the
membership of this group might be a great learning opportunity as
well.

I suggest that the first item to organize is a room at the conference
where members of our group could gather for an informal meeting.
Conference organizers can be contacted via this web site:

Good luck!
