[Cz-L] What was at Brancovianu 22?

In the pre-1948 burial registers from Czernowitz, I find my great
grandmother listed twice under "Name of Relative". The first listing
is with the burial record of her sister Chinke Halpern. Both lived
in Radauti, and, when Chinke got sick, she was cared for at the
hospital in Czernowitz. She died there in 1924 and was therefore
buried in Czernowitz. The oral family history is confirmed by the
register. Though Hinde lived in Radauti, her address is given
(presumably in Czernowitz) as Brancovianu 22.

My great grandmother is once again listed, at the very same address,
as the contact regarding the burial of Max Metzger, who died in
either 1931 or 3-Jul-1932; there are two entries in the register, one
for each date. First of all, I know of no connection to Max Metzger!
This could be a new lead for me. Secondly, I surmise that the 1931
date is correct, since Hinde died in Radauti 26-Dec-1931, and I am
certain of this fact.

So my first question is - does anyone know of a relationship between
the Metzger family and the following families related to Hinde?
SCHACHTER, BRUCKER, BRUCH, HALPERN, SCHUSTER

In looking through the registers a bit further, I see there are other
listings for Brancovianu 22:
Rosa Weissgerber, wife of Nathan, 1934.
Pepi Wittner, wife of Benjamin, 1929.


My 2nd question is - can anyone tell me what sort of building was at
this address? Apartment building? Hotel?

Str. Brancovianu Constantin used to be known at Liliengasse.
