Dear list-members who indicated an interest in the Vienna reunion.
As a first step, please reply to me off-list, what you would like to
have included in a program for our Vienna meeting.
If you have been to Vienna previously, you may or may not want to visit
the regular tourist sights again. If you have never been there, then you
may want to see them and time needs to be allowed for that.
Concerts will be OK, but how many would be comfortable with lectures and
theatre in German?
It has been suggested to actually stay a little outside Vienna, e.g.
Baden,or Perchtoldsdorf,or M–dling,- which is not a bad idea, since
these are probably resort-areas and may be more comfortable for us all
to stay together for 2-3 days .
Please send me by return whatever you would like to do and see when we
get together in Vienna.
#2: The Czernowitz program will be organised by Luba & Charlie Gherman
of Melbourne, with the help of a more recent local immigrant from
Czernowitz who knows all there is to know about the city. We pored over
maps and have a rough idea about the route to take to get there. Luba is
working on the details.
