One of the Pikholz descendants tells me that when she first came to
Israel, she met a young woman named Miriam Pickholz, who had studied at
a girls' high school in Czernowitz. The meeting would have been about
1944, so I am guessing we are talking about someone born around 1920.
She thinks the young woman later lived in Nahariyya.
I haven't a clue regarding who this Miriam is or what became of her.
Her name may well have been different (eg Mania) in Europe.
Israel Pickholtz
