Dear Whoever is interested,
I am an old lady and a computer illiterate. I am glad to be
involved with the list...Thanks to Bruce who so far is my only contact.
My mother in law was from Sadagara, a suburb do CZ. sHE came to the
USA before 1900....but I have been unable to pin down much about her
European past. Her maiden name was Minnie Rinzler. In those days women
didn't have any rights. sHE HAD NO citizenship papers but became a citizen
when her husband got his papers. I can't find her ship manifest. She didn't
ever speak of the old days much.
I went to visit eastern Europe in 1995. Cz was a large city. What I
was told was the main synag. was a movie theatre.
Some thing interesting to me was a n old time village with an inn
which looked just like what she once described. as being her fathers. We
went to the Sadagara Rabbi's home and syn. which was a mess .They were then
used as offices. Another nearby syn. was a coat factory.
I also went to Majden Sieniewa, still inPoland. If anyone is
interested I can describe it. My parents came from Ukraine.... Sokolovka
and Talnoy.
