Hi, Irene,
Yes, I met, Jehuda Ehrenkranz in early 1949, just by chance, when I was
a teacher at the Kfar Gl=FCckson Aliyat Hanoar Educational Institution.
I had just arrived from the Cyprus and was assigned to teach at that
Institution in view of my almost volunteer teaching job at the Cyprus
detention camps. Yehuda was invited to deliver a lecture on how to
correctly read and pronounce Hebrew texts. In addition, he was
requested to read some of his own works and also recite a series of
poems for the pupils of the Aliyat Hanoar. I told him that I was a pupil
at the "Safah Ivriah" Elementary School for four years and that Chayim
Ehrenkranz was my Director. The school was close to the Toynbee Halle
but the entrance was from Faerbergasse 5.
Best wishes for a Happy Hanukka.
Abraham K.

Ja, dear Abraham,
Your question made me happy: Chayim was my father's oldest brother
(they were 9 boys). I didn't know he was a director. I knew that he and
his wife, Chaya taught at Safa Ivriah. Mia is my much beloved Cousin.
She lives in America.
Did you know my other Onkel Jehuda Eren-Ehrenkranz?
Waiting for answers
Thanks,
Irene
