Greetings Czernowitzers!

1. The Czernowitz Family Finder has been updated. If you submitted
surnames, check it out to make sure it's correct. 'Notable
Czernowitzers' also updated.

2. The Archives have been updated. A word or two about quoting previous
posts that you're responding to: Please don't quote the entire thread,
or the entire digest. Try to quote only those parts of a previous post
that make your post more understandable. I end up editing out most of
what's quoted in order to conserve space on the website.

3. The 'Czernowitz Reading List' has been updated (3 new books reviewed
by Nathan Gross)

4. The letter crafted by Marianne Hirsch and vetted by the group has
been sent to Mr.Kylynych at the Chernivtsi mayor's office. A copy of
this letter has been posted to our website in the '2008 Chernivtsi
Anniversary Celebration' section. You may also want to check out the
city's plans for the celebration again as more material has been added.
There is a letter from the organizing committee etc., which wasn't there
before. The second link from the top of the page will get you there.

5. Three more published in articles in pdf format concerning
Czernowitz/Bukov(w)ina, by Marianne Hirsch and Leo Spitzer have been
made available by Marianne. Go to 'List Members' Pages' and select their
page. Very interesting materials.

6. The cookbook is moving along thanks to the latest round of
contributions and Michele's artistic touch. On Saturday night I made
Paula Tillinger's stuffed peppers -- definitely a keeper! Keep those
recipes coming!

That's about it... and thanks for NOT posting in HTML!
Best,
jerome
