[Cz-L] Questions on spelling

Greetings,

The answer to my last question about military decrees, was "ordonanta"
(pronounced "ordonantza"). Thank you to those who responded for my request
for help.

More clarifications needed, please. Read on:

"Soap soon disappeared, 'cause there was nothing available to buy, so the
hygienic conditions became terrible, and as a result, a typhus, a typhoid
epidemic broke out in the ghetto. And those who were most affected, as you
can imagine, were the old and the very young. And (sevraki de shah????) was
quite busy in those days in the ghetto area."

Question: What is "sevraki de shah"? This spelling reflects, of course, how
I heard it, but obviously these words are not spelled correctly.

Next, " The Germans went to a section of the city, took out all the Jewish
men from that section, formed them into a column, and marched them to a
field outside the city--it was in the suburb of Bielak..."

Question: "What is the correct spelling for 'Bielak'"?

Next, there was a miliatry commander in Czernowitz named Dumitrescu. But
there was also a military governor whose name I'm not sure about. It sounds
like Coltescu. Can anybody tell me the correct spelling of his surname?
Also, I don't know if this next mention of this person is the same as
Coltescu. The line reads, " Now the governor of Bukowina, now our city, the
general Coltescu, had decided to clean out all the Jews from the city in the
next spring and summer of 1943."

Question:: In each instance, what is the spelling of the Romanian governor's
name?

Next, there was the leader of Cz's Hashomer Hatzair who was deported by the
Russians; he did not survive. I hear his name as "Gippelman," but I doubt if
this is correct.

Question: Does anybody remember his name?

Lastly, Prof. Scherzer mentions the times there were actually Yiddish
schools in Czernowitz. He said, "Sometimes when I went to the first year
of Yitzion (sp), which was like middle school here, there was a teacher who
made derogatory remarks..."

Question: The world can't be 'Yitzion.' Can anyone tell me the correct word?
