[Cz-L] Update on the IAYC talk transcript, and more....

Greetings,

To update you, I have finished transcribing the talk given by Prof. Scherzer
and am waiting for a few photos, and also to see if he would like to edit
the transcript. Once this is all done, I will get the transcript/web page
online for all to see. I have also included, within the text of the
transcript, four sound clips from his talk. This should add an extra
"dimension" to its reading.

In addition, with the permissions of the editors, I have created a webpage
containing the entire introduction of the book "Harvest of Blossoms: Poems
 from a Life Cut Short," a book of poems, translated from German into English
(and other languages), written by native Czernowitzer Selma
Meerbaum-Eisinger. Selma, at the tender age of fourteen, perished in a Nazi
SS camp (on December 17, 1942). Selma wrote more than fifty poems in German
and translated another five from Yiddish, French, and Romanian. I am only
waiting for a few photos to add to this webpage before announcing this page
to our group.

If anyone else has given a talk at a conference about Czernowitz previous to
the La Jolla conference and wishes to have a transcript of their talk
included in this series, please contact me privately.
