Hi all,

I am a new member to the list and have not had a part in any of this. But I
must tell you that my mother and grandmother told me many stories about this
man. Both Traian and his younger brother were personal friends of my
grandfather, Gusutv Geday, and he nd his family were responsible numerous
times for pulling my family from the line of death.

Just yesterday my mother told me a story about how his sister-in-law who
lived in their building, saw them standing waiting to board a train. As luck
would have it, there were not enough trains and they had to wait. She saw
them standing there and screamed "What are you doing there?" and ran to
Traian and received one of the infamous papers. They were saved for another
day. This same scenerio happen 3 times.

There is a plaque in the Holocaust Museum here in Washington, DC dedicated
to him that recounts his efforts. No doubt, many of you and your families
are here today because of him.

Regardless of politics, it is so important for history that there will be
recognition in the place where this all occurred.

I commend you!

Ilana Gordon
