 This is not right : this territory was not only given to Romania in 1919 ;
This territory was included in the new borders of Romania as a part of
Versailles treaty. The first leader asking the revision of this treaty was
the NAZI CANCELOR A.H.
Ribbentrop&Molotov did it 1m 1940 and again Stalin in 1945.
Roosevelt and Churchill accepted and leve Estern Europe under Stalins
dictature for 50 yaers.

Best regards,
Emil

Miriam (Mimi) Taylor <mirtaylo_at_indiana.edu>

Romanian newspapers still claim that Czernowitz and the northern Bukovina
belong to Romania and that this territory was stolen from from them.
The fact that this territory was only given to Romania in 1919,
is forgotten. I do not know the attitude of some of the senior people
in the Chernivtsi city hall and will not speculate on this.
I believe that the relations between the Ukraine and Romania are strained.
If any member of the list could present facts to substantiate either my,
or Cornel's beliefs or explain the situation in detail, it would be most
helpful.

Mimi
