[Cz-L] Czernowitz schools

Hi,

I had the thought that it would be useful to have a listing of schools that
all of you native Czernowitzers went to, for what grades, and what years
(unless you don't wish to say the year, of course!). Perhaps some of you may
have gone to the same school and don't know it. Probably over the years of
existence of our Cz-L list, you already know if you did or not, but just in
case--and for those who write to me who went to school in Czernowitz, who
are not members of our discussion group, this might be useful--perhaps you
will send me the information I seek. I wouldn't put the list online, just
keep it on my computer and contact people if I think they might have gone to
the same school, or been in the same class as someone else, etc. Please send
the information to me privately.

Did any of you go to Aron Pumnul? I believe this is an elementary school.
How about Yiddish school no. 18 (lyzeum years)? Yiddish school no. 5? Did
these Yiddish schools that existed during the war have proper names, or were
they just known by a number?
