Baden Powell -- Be Prepared -- The Boy Scout Motto RE: [Cz-L] Soviet period- Pioneers

Lord Robert S. S. Baden Powell was the founder of the Boy Scout movement in=
 the period between the Boer War and the First World War.=A0 He played a fa=
mous role in each conflict, but those are different stories.=A0 Baden Powel=
l coined the motto "Be Prepared," or alternatively "Always Prepared" which =
the Boy Scouts still use to this day on their insignia.

the saying at the
Scouts Organization of Sir Baden Powell (Pretoria).

Dear Jerry and members of the list,

Unlike many other Czernowitzers, I managed to forget all the Ukrainian
I was taught in school. Yiddish was the language of instruction, but we
were also taught Ukrainian as a second language. Therefore I do not remembe=
r
the inscription. But later as a member of the "Ha-Noar Ha-Tzioni", I
learned
the same saying in Hebrew: "Hveh muchan, Tamid nachon."
Does anyone know, what is the origin of this saying?
