My grandmother related that her family was no longer traditional, (her
grandmother came to visit wearing a special tichel, head covering and her
own set of dishes obviously no longer trusting her daughter my grandmother's
monther's kashrut) and that they all spoke german, it wasnt until the
Romanian's took charge that they forced them to learn Romanian in school and
she said she didnt learn Yiddish at all until she was in the camps in
Transnistria.
