Re: [Cz-L] Museum meetings

Dear Hardy, in my meeting with him Josef Zissels was very eager to
talk about this, especially since he was taken aback by the vehement
tone of the list members' messages to and about him on this subject.
He has a rationale for his initial decision: he thought this should be
an exhibit about life not death, 200 years of Jewish life in the
Bukowina region, and, secondly, he had discussed and worked on the
renovation of the ceremonial hall of he Jewish cemetery with Helmut
Kusdat and they both thought that that should serve as the site of a
Holocaust museum. He was then convinced by the rationale of the
letters he received and now two of the 12 cases of the planned museum
will be on the war years 1940-44. The details of their contents do not
seem to be at all worked out, which is why it would be helpful to get
materials . I've arranged for some materials form the USHMM to be sent
but list members materials will be helpful. So far, few responses to
our requests have reached me or Mimi .
