[Cz-L] Inquiry concerning Gura Humora

I have received an E-mail, in which the sender asks for information
concerning Gura Humora (currently named Gura Humorului).

Surnames occurring in his family are: Abraham, Shapira, Lecker, Hermann
and Luft. His grandmother Anna Luft, was born in Czernowitz in 1907.

He would like to know whether there is currently a Jewish community
in Gura Humorului, whether there are archives of the town or archives
of the Jewish community to research and since he plans to visit there,
he would like general advice as to how to proceed and what documents to
bring with him, or to whom to write in advance.

If you have any pertinent information regarding his family or regarding
Gura Humorului, please write to me and I will pass on the information.
