[Cz-L] Flying from Kiev to Czernowitz

We will be going to Czernowitz next week and are considering flying
 from Kiev to Czernowitz. I noticed most people do not take this
option, preferring either to drive or take a train from Lvov. Is
there any reason other than the romance of the open road or, in your
opinion, flying inside Ukraine an unsafe mode of travel?
