[Cz-L] Jewish Czernowitz

Now it's official:
  The Jewish Museum, we so much anticipated, will not be
   Jewish, not by name anyway .
    It is the Museum of History of the Community of Bukovina.
    Was this imposed ?
    Now it is easier to understand the opposition to the
    Holocaust presentation.
     " We want a Museum of life , not of death" said the
     organizers .
        Why did the name Jewish Museum irk them ?
     Well , it is a long story starting with Bogdan Chmelnitzky
     through the Shtetl pogroms and the killing fields of 1941.
      Does the current Popovici plate manipulation belong here too ?
      Who knows .
