 Here is the only plaque in town commemorating the Ghetto.
   It reads in Yiddish and in Ukrainean :
  "In this part of town, there was in 1941 the Czernowitzer Ghetto
    where 50,000 jews were locked in ".
         Not far is the Jewish Hospital -the Shpitul.
