[Cz-L] Moses RUFF

Dear List,
Using the City Directories on our website, I have put together some facts
about my great grand uncle, Moses RUFF, who's grave I visited in Czernowitz.
The following information is available:
The 1898 directory indicates that his profession was Schustergeselle. He
lived at Pruthgasse, 8. It indicates the "Quarter" as CZ.
The 1909 directory indicates his profession as Privatier. He lived at
Bahnfofstrasse, 32, at that time.

The questions I have are: Can someone translate the two professions. Also,
can someone direct me to a map where I can find Pruthgasse? I assume it's near
the river.
Of course I would be interested if anyone sees a connection to their
families.
