[Cz-L] Re: czernowitz-l digest: May 04, 2009

Hi all just want to add my 2 cents re cemetery cleanup. A few years
ago we tried to work with heritage foundation to restore the cz
cemetery. They asked for 1500 up front to do the assessment. I was
only able to raise 700 after repeated announcements on the list. So
the money was returned to the contributors. Like every good jewish
group, this one had at least as many different opinions as members.
Some members thought it was too expensive, some thought it was not
religious enough of an organization, etc etc. Then there was someone
 from israel who said they would do it for only what it costs and this
person was never heard from again. Here,s my opinion; I would be
happy to contribute to this organization who has offered to do the
work-- I would like to see it done while I'm still among the living.
I.m a 2nd gen member my gggrandparents are in the cz cemetery-- if we
don,t do this who will? Sent from my blackberry while on vacation in
