One more note with regard to this film. When I saw the gentleman who wanted
to charge us $100 per grave in the film, I was turned off immediately. He
was the only person in the 2 weeks that we were in the Ukraine who tried to
take advantage of us! No doubt that their proposal for cleaning up the
cemetery was outrageous. And while we were at the cemetery, there were a few
men there who were in the same mentality. We had to pay money to one of them
to borrow his ax by the hour. I know everyone needs to take care of
themselves but it just seemed so weird in such a sacred place. Does anyone
know what kind of funds they have raised and what their foundation has
actually done so far.
