What Reinhold means by this, is that, he noticed the damage to his
grandfather's tomb, complained and the tomb was repaired. But those tombs
or gravestones similarly damaged in case there where no living relatives to
complain, were not repaired.
It looks to me as if the tombstone was repaired satisfactorily.
