My cousin, George Ressler, imparted to me recently that some of the
ancestors we share are from Bukowina.

My grandmother, Minnie Ressler (maiden name) was the sister of George's
grandfather, Joseph Ressler. Also in the family were Benjamin, Louis,
Jake. Actually, my greatgrandfather went through 3 wives. The first
batch
included Benjamin and Joseph, the second batch included my grandmother
and
(I will have to check on the number and names) two brothers. There
was a
third batch that had a set of twins. I am told that some of the third
batch made it to Israel, but never emigrated to the USA.

Grandmother came to the USA, all on her own via steerage in 1914. Joe
and
Ben were there for her. Grandmother was born in 1899.

If you have any information or can direct me to a good place to learn
more,
I would be very greatful.
