Dear Friends:

In anticipation of the interest at next week's international
conference on Jewish Genealogy (www.philly2009.org), Merle Kastner
and I have updated a page I've maintained for several years to
include many new resources for genealogical research in the Bukowina.
See:

http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/sadgura/ReischToronto.html

I'm sure I've left some significant items out, so feel free to send
further suggestions for inclusion.

Look for the "What's New!" icon to find the latest additions to this page.

Significant additions include -

1. A great amount of information on newly identified archival
resources and address directories via Edgar Hauster.
2. Many new Bukovina cemetery photos supplied by Hannelore Condiescu,
Edgar Hauster, and Luke Rothman.
3. Family History Library now lists vital records for Wiznitz,
Waschkoutz, and nearby towns for several years in the early 1900s.
4. Student lists from the Radautz Gymnasium, 1884-1997.
5. New book just published on "Jewish Cemeteries in the Bucovina" ,
by Simon Geissbuehler.
6. Complete indexing of the Radauti Jewish Cemetery.
7. Update on the cemetery indexing project for the Czernowitz Jewish Cemetery.

I hope you find something useful in this update.

Bruce
