[Cz-L] Further work to clear the cemetery of weedy vegetation

Dear Czernowitzers,

The clearing of one hectare of the cemetery, by the workers hired by Dr.
Bursuk through the cemetery administration, was accomplished well enough,
to make it worth while to continue clearing the cemetery in this manner.

I have corresponded with Dr. Bursuk and he, as well as the cemetery
administration are willing to continue with the clearing this fall and would
be able to clear another one to three hectares at a price of $2000 per
hectare.

Payment for the one hectare cleared so far, came from the money left over
 from the Cz. Reunion 2006, from Sasha Wolloch and from me.
I would like to ask all members of the list to now contribute money for
clearing any additional segments of the cemetery.

We have set up a corporation for the restoration of the cemetery and legally
registered it in the state of Florida. By "we", I mean Sasha Wolloch, Wolfi
Schaechter and myself. The name of this corporation is:
CZERNOWITZ JEWISH CEMETERY RESTORATION ORGANIZATION Inc. or CJCRO Inc.
We are currently working on writing the By-Laws of the corporation and
setting up a bank account for it. Later we will also apply for non-profit
status for this organization. I hope that most, if not all of you, will join
this organization.

The further clearing of the cemetery cannot proceed until we send Dr. Bursuk
the funds needed for paying the workers. I therefore would like to ask for
your donations as soon as possible and before we have been granted
non-profit status.

In the next few days, I will write this list, how and to whom donations for
the CZERNOWITZ JEWISH CEMETERY RESTORATION ORGANIZATION Inc.
should be sent.
