In Czernowitz, I never heard about the Ruzhiner, I did hear about the
Sadagerer and the Wiznitzer rabbis. The later did not perform miracles,
preferring instead to come up with beautiful new "negunim".
The Sadagerer would gladly perform miracles for a fee, but most Yiddish
speaking Czernowitzers knew and sang the song:

Nisim, nisim nisim, nisim ve-neflues,
der Rebbe geyt arein ins wasser ind kimmt arois a nasser".

For those who do not know Yiddish:
Miracles, miracles, miracles, miracles and wonders,
The rabbi goes into the water and comes out wet.

To all you "Apicorsim", this is what it has to do with Czernowitz.
