All Jews who were deported from Czernowitz, were deported to Transnistria,
but to various locations in Transnistria itself. For detailed information
read "The Holocaust in Romania" by Radu Ioanid and "Cartea Neagra"
(The black book) by Carp.

According to Radu Ioanid, Traian Popovici said that in July 1941 when the
Romanians reentered Czernowitz there were 50 000 Jewish residents in the
city. About 19 000 remained in the city, between 500 and 1000 were murdered
in 1941, which means that about 30 000 were deported.
These numbers are only approximations and I would be glad to know more exact
figures too.
