This message is for all members as well as Miriam Taylor and Steven Lasky.

I have sent some emails a few years ago concerning my family in Czernowitz,
where my father's side was a textile mill (grandmother) and senior official
of the Central Austro-Hungarian Government in the Province (grandfather),
and my mother's side was Noah Lehr, the prosperous soap manufacturer
(great-grandfather), and Max Kula, the farmer (agribusiness). In 1939, just
one week before war was declared, my parents entered Canada on a special
permit, despite the NO-JEWS immigration policy because my father had agreed
to start a business and create jobs. I have documents such as passports and
about 250 letters my parents exchanged with their family trapped, mostly in
Czernowitz. They are in German

I would like to donate the collection to an archive, preferably Canadian, so
I can have a tax deduction, but one that can assure me that the letters will
be translated and that copies of the translations given to me. Some of these
letters make my hair stand on end; others document a blithe unawareness of
what is to come, and others the horror of "what-is-to-come", when it came.

If anyone can give me some guidance, I would be grateful.

Bob
