I think I may have gone to that school also in 1944-45. I must must have been in fourth or fifth grade. I think I can probably still take apart and put together a 1944 style Russian rifle.

The Jiddish school was on Siebenbuergerstrasse corner Neueweltgasse and not Breihausgasse.
It was, indeed, a school for boys and girls, as was customary school in the former USSR.
