Czernowitz Yiddish was the most similar to German. There were many different
Yiddish pronunciations, the Litwish, the Kongress Polish, the Warschau Lodz,
the Hungarian, the Rumanian (Regat) the Bessarabian, and small deviations
among them according to the region. Then were the big differences of the
foreign terms absorbed in Yiddish from the surroundings in which the Jews
lived. A number of these words were not understood by Jews from another
area.
However, ppronunciation topic is different from the meaning of sefer, which
means a sacred book and Biech (Buch) a secular book. And by the way a Peyger
was not only for a hated person, but rather for ... like a "shikse."
