Now I understand!
Arthur and I were in the same school in second grade. At least this is what
I believe. Yet he does not remember me at all.
Of course, he was preoccupied thinking only of the dark haired Zita
Kimelman. He does not even remember the best snowball fight we had
in the winter of 44 - 45.
Now I want to find Zita Kimelman too. I do not think I knew her in my
childhood, even though, I too, lived very near the northern end of the
Volksgarten and I am sure I heard my parents speak about "die Kimelman".
In the Czernowitz address book of 1936 there are about 10 Kimelman.
A few years ago I met an Israeli couple who's name was Kimmelman, but that
was the husband's name.
Good luck Arthur!
I hope you find Zita.
