Shalom Yaso,
Khotin and the surroundings did not belong to the Bukowina.
They have been included in "Oblast Chernovtsy" (Czernowitz region) by the Soviet
rulers, and as such became part of Ukraine.
It was a part of Bessarabia before WW1 (Russian Empire), then a part of Romania
(Judet Hotin).
Most of the former Judet Hotin was included into the "Oblast Chernovtsy".
So, it is quite possible that there is archive material in Moldova (former
Bessarabia) of the Khotin area.
