I too am new to the CZ list and have a similar request. I have discovered three letters from my grandfather's brother (both of whom hail from Czernowitz) to my mother, in 1938, relating to my mother's bringing his daughter to the United States from Vienna, where they lived. (My cousin did in fact come to us; her parents perished.) Although the letters are legible, my German is too poor to make an adequate translation and I am reluctant to give them to a commercial translator. I would appreciate hearing from someone privately who could do the translations and of course receive appropriate compensation.
