[Cz-L] World Economic Crisis, in Czernowitz too!

Czernowitzers…

The world economic crisis climaxed in 1932, in Czernowitz too. From page 7 of "today's" (18.09.1932/2010) edition of "Der Tag - The Day" (http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/) we learn, that the municipality organized a tombola in favour of the unemployed people of Czernowitz (according a rough estimate, more than 30,000 in 1932).I've posted the respective article, diplaying a unique drawing of a original lottery ticket to our Ehpes.com Blog:

The Romanian text for the lottery ticket reads as follows: "Lottery in favour of the unemployed people of Czernowitz, organized by the municipality of Czernowitz, agreed by the Romanian Ministry of Labor, Health and Welfare in 1932: 200,000 lottery tickets of Lei 10.00 for 2,000 material prizes, valid at the lottery drawing, which will take place on 29.12.1932 at the City Hall."

Seventyeight years later, we are again facing a world economic crisis, but the cirumstances changed considerably.
